Why ABS widely used in prototypes?
For CNC prototyping products, ABS material may account for more than 50% of total plastic materials. The reason is that the mechanical strength and other physical properties of ABS can meet the test function well, and it is easy to polish, smooth and color. Many customers ask manufacturers to remove burrs, processing marks, and blemishes that aren't visible to the naked eye but aren't smooth to the touch, then puttying.
The density of ABS material is generally about 1.3, usually according to the size of the product to buy a bit bigger plate. CNC processing generally reserved about 20 mm frame. After finishing a surface, the product needs to be fixed with plaster, and then the surface is turned over and another surface is processed. Until the product is processed. Then knock off the border of the product to get a complete product. Finally, the surface is polished and deburred, and handed over to QA for inspection.
