Sportrock auto belay. Largely looking for a top rope belay partner. From an operator’s standpoint, auto belays are valuable tools for increasing climber throughput during peak hours of operation. Before top roping, lead climbing, or using the auto belay on your own, you must take and pass the required test or orientation first. Auto-Belay in Maryland I've been to climbing gyms while traveling that have auto belay for indoor top rope climbing and I had a blast trying it out, but I've been looking around the Baltimore/DC area and haven't been able to locate a climbing gym with auto belay. You will likely spot a TRUBLUE auto belay system or a Perfect Descent auto belay device in your local gym. Yelp users haven’t asked any questions yet about Sportrock Climbing Centers. I'm certified at movement. Once I join a local gym, my goal is to meet people and get into something of a schedule so that I can trade off climbing and belaying with other members (and friends who come along).
